Meteorological disasters affect agricultural production during the spring sowing period, and monitoring and predicting meteorological disasters of major crops in Qinghai is crucial for crop growth. Based on meteorological observations, this study comprehensively analyzed the climate characteristics, major meteorological disaster impact areas and crop growth in Qinghai Province during the spring sowing period by using normalization method, hierarchical analysis model and kriging interpolation. As a result, Qinghai province spring sowing period is mainly concentrated in mid to late March to early May, barley in March is susceptible to frost damage, spring wheat, oilseed rape, beans in early to mid April is susceptible to frost damage, maize, potatoes, ferns in late April is susceptible to frost damage. Affected by extreme weather events, Huangshou region and Qilianshan region prone to drought, Xining, Guoluo, Haibei, Hainan, Huangnan region prone to flooding. 2021 spring sowing period, Qinghai Province, the overall temperature is high, precipitation was "less in the north and south" trend, spring sowing period of wheat, potato, oilseed rape, fern planting area is mainly affected by drought and frost damage.
