Abstract:
This study selected early maturing persimmon saplings planted for one year as the research object. The measures for preventing shoots shriveling were set up with seven treatments: wrapping cold resistant cloth and reflective film on the trunk, planting soil on the trunk, applying limewater on the trunk, wrapping cold resistant cloth on the trunk, spraying fruit preservation agent on the branches, spraying high-fat film on the branches, and spraying paraffin emulsifier on the branches. The shoots shriveling rates, water status, cell viability, and the content of non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) of different treatments was measured during the germination period. The results showed that the shoots shriveling rates of wrapping cold resistant cloth and reflective film on the trunk and planting soil on the trunk treatments was 0, the shoots shriveling rates of spraying fruit preservation agent, spraying high-fat film, and spraying paraffin emulsifier treatments were between 30 % and 60 %, and the shoots shriveling rates of applying limewater, wrapping cold resistant cloth, and control treatments was 100 %. The correlation analysis results indicate that, the extraction rates under different protective measures was significantly positively correlated with the PLC of the branches(P<0.05), but negatively correlated with the pre-dawn water potential of the branches, relative water content of the xylem, cell viability of the phloem, starch content of the xylem, and NSC content of the xylem(P<0.05). It can be seen that the treatment of cold resistant cloth and reflective film treatment, and planting soil treatment have good protective effects on the winter and spring shoots shriveling of persimmon trees, which can better protect the water status and vitality of the stem cells, and promote the transportation of NSC to the branches.
