| Aimed at the common problem of silt by mud and stalks in lo w pressure pipe irrigation in the high lift irrigation regions of Yellow River, the experiment was conducted to measure sand content, sand deposit, pipe flow r ate, stalks and other suspended substances in the demonstration zone of pipe irr igation. The design of pipe irrigation system in the zone was tested and verifie d. The result showed that the computed non silt flow rate of lateral coinc ided well with the measured one. Moreover, the paper proposed the effective mea sures to prevent pipe silt in these regions. |
