Abstract:
The study has been conducted for three years to observe canopy temperature and biological characteristics of cold type wheat and warm type wheat under drought. The results showed that the canopy temperature o f cold type wheat is continuously lower than that of control , especiall y during milk filling stage. Many other characters, such as chlorophyll cont ent, net photosynthetic rate, soluble protein content and SOD activity, are rema r kably superior to those of warm type wheat. So the canopy temperature can be u sed a functional index in wheat breeding and culture under drought condition.
