| Abstract: |
| The regional eco-environment in arid regions in northwest China has been incre asingly worsened because of the vulnerability of natural environment and the hum an activities of exploiting irrationally water and soil resources. It badly restricts the reali zation of economic and social sustainable development. In connection with the ac tual situations of eco-environmental construction at present, this paper presen ts that it is necessary to take measures in achieving the sustainable utilizatio n of water resources, establishing the perfect administration and law systems, a djusting industry structure, carrying forward the process of urbanization, devel oping science and technology and education, and so on. These are the important s upport systems to the restoration and reconstruction of destroyed eco-system, a nd the successful improvement of regional eco-environment. They will also be im portant to realize the coordinate development of social environment and economy. |
