Abstract:
Effects of soil conditioner MDM on meadow alkali soil and the growth of rice were investigated by pot culture experiments. The results showed that MDM could obviously improve the exchange ability of meadow alkali soils and decrease salt content in soils. Compared to that of CK, ESP of the alkali soil treated by 0.90 L/m2 MDM was decreased by 64.47%, the content of CO2-3 and the ratio of Na++K+/Ca2++Mg2+ in water soluble salt were decreased by 72.80% and 87.20% respectively, the electrical conductivity of soil was decreased by 27.18%, and the pH value was decreased by 0.5. In addition, the application of MDM promoted the growth of rice and improved the production output. The emergence rate and the plant height of rice were increased by 14.29% and 36.19% respectively. The grain yield per plant was increased by 117.43%.
