| Abstract: |
| The importance of assessment of reverting farmland to forest and grassland is discussed in this paper. Meanwhile, the suitability assessment system of reverting farmland is established for the middle and lower reaches of Tarim River, which involves 13 assessment indexes in the 4 aspects of soil, water, climate and economy. Furthermore, the AHP is used to determine the weight of indexes. The results of the quantitative analysis can offer guidance to practise the reverting of farmland to forest and grassland in this region. |
