Abstract:
The paper analyzes the present situation, structure and characteristics of land use patterns in Yanchi county, which is the typical area of ecologically vulnerable environment in central Ningxia . The exploration proved that there is abundant farmland resource while the majority of farmland is dryland on upland and plain, whose production is comparatively lower than the irrigable land; There is a large proportion of far-flung grassland with lower productivity, which is composed of semi-covered and lowly-covered grassland. The distribution characteristic of woodland is different in different regions, and the majority of it is shrubbery. Meanwhile the research explores the economic profit of 15 administration towns in the county, and it points out the problems existing in agricultural land use, including unreasonable land use structure, lower agricultural output and obvious regional economic differences. Furthermore, the paper presents the countermeasures to use land resources sustainably and effectively in Yanchi county.
