The soil samples were collected around the rhizosphere of tomato, capsicum, eggplant, cucumber, etc. Fourteen species of stunt nematodes belonging to 7 genera were identified, including Tylenchorhynchus clarus,T.mashhoodi,T.aerolatus; Merlinius brevidens, M.communium;Pratylenchus neglectus, P.hexincisus, P.scribneri; Filenchus cylindricollis, F.vulgaris, F.ditissimus; Aphelenchus avenae, H.dihystera and P.hilarulus. Among them, many genera and species had not been reported in Gansu province. They widely parasitized and reproduced in arid, semi-arid and semi-humid in the range of 100°26′~105°45′ E and 34°35′~38°56′ N and the altitude of 1 142~1 895 m, were distributed in Qincheng, Beidao in Tianshui district, Diaochang, Anning in Lanzhou district, Zhangjiasi in Honggu district, Taijizhen in Yongjin county, Qinyang, and Lintao etc.
