Abstract:
The progress and significance in the research on 5 kinds of microbial resources in Xinjiang —— gigantic fungi, nodule bacteria of leguminous plants, terrestrial nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria, lichen and microorganisms at extreme environments et.al are summarized in this paper. At the same time, it is put forward that there exist two important blind areas in the research on the microorganism resources of Xinjiang, i.e., symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria of non-leguminous plants and mycorrhiza fungi resource. The value, significance, necessity and urgency in the study on the two blind areas are discussed.
