Abstract:
      Basing on the summarization of international and domestic developments of green foods, the paper points out the importance of dryland farming and sustainability research relating with green foods to agricultural development. In terms of the local ecological and environmental conditions, the advantageous resources in agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry, the environmental control and the west development, It expatiates the feasibility to develop green foods in central Gansu, and advocates the development of green foods in the region so as to enhance environment control and economic development. To some extent, to develop green foods in central Gansu also is a measure to explore the ways controlling the loess plateau and making the population of the region rid of poverty and become well off as well as a great thing of political and economic importance.
