Abstract:
A field experiment with six irrigating frequency treatments and five soil water potential treatments was conducted for potato under drip irrigation. The results suggest that the tuber yield of potato was the highest when the irrigation frequency was once every day and the targeted soil water potential was-25 kPa. Through the analysis of soil water variations and root system distribution features under these two treatments, the suggestion for tensiometer placement in potato field under drip irrigation was proposed, and the idiographic methods of scheduling drip irrigation with tensiometers was presented.
