Abstract:
The field experiment was carried out on dryland in semi-arid wind-sand area of Tianzhen county in Shanxi province, with the purpose of evaluating the effect of some kinds of chemical water-saving agents, such as aquasorb, water-absorbent fertilizer, Jinong and Fululing, on yields of potato(Solanum tuberosum L.). The results showed that when sprayed at flowering stage, the water saving agents could improve potato yields at different levels, and the effect of Jinong and Fululing was the most remarkable. However, the effect of aquasorb and water-absorbent fertilizer was less remarkable because the application time was late.
