| Abstract: |
| SUNSCAN canopy analysis system made in Delta company of England was validated in the experimental field of summer maize to observe its application in the measurement of ecological parameters such as PAR above and beneath the canopy and LAI. The results show that SUNSCAN system can measure PAR above the canopy, TPAR beneath the canopy and LAI etc at one time. So it surpasses the other instruments that are complicated in measurement and un-synchronous in time, and it is advantageous in the measurement of numerous samples with no damnification. The instrument may operate automatically to observe the diurnal dynamic of total solar radiation. The best measurement period of Sunscan system is (9∶00)11∶00 a.m. and 13∶0015∶00 p.m. In a word, SUNSCAN canopy analysis system is a portable and highly efficient instrument with a great potential of application. |
