Abstract:
      The study was carried out to discover the effects of different treatments on the germination of Swiss chard seeds．The results showed that the germination percentage，germination viability and germination index could be increased by the treatment of H2O2，H3BO3 and KH2PO4 in certain concentration， and the suitable concentration of them was 10g／kg，0．5g／kg and 5g／kg respectively．Hydration-dehydration treatment could also promote the germination of Swiss chard seeds．The effect of GA3 on germination was not obvious within the treatment concentration．The germination ability of yellow or yellowishbrown and big or middle seeds were much better than that of black or brown and small ones．Swiss chard seeds could not be stored for more than one year．
