Abstract:
      Using 18 evaluating indices indicating the level and condition of agricultural production, the paper analyzes quantitatively the agricultural development level in 14 regions of Gansu Province by the factor analysis method. It is indicated that the spatial difference of the agricultural development level in Gansu Province is obvious. The agricultural development level in Hexi area and the regions along Yellow River is higher than that in southeast regions of Gansu, which shows that the agricultural development in Gansu is mainly restricted by the agricultural resources and environment conditions, especially by the irrigation conditions. The spatial difference of the agricultural level and condition is the foundation of agricultural division in the future. Every region should adjust measures to local conditions so as to accelerate the agricultural development harmoniously across the province.
