Abstract:
Effects of elevated atmospheric CO2 concentration and its cooperation with other environment factors on growth of plants, agricultural production and plant communities are discussed. With the enhancement of CO2, photosynthesis rate and water use efficiency tend to be increased, but transpiration, respiration rate and stomatic conductance tend to be decreased. In addition, the effects of CO2 enhancement on C3 and C4 plants are remarkably different.
