Abstract:
In the classic and representative area of soda-alkaline land in westen Songneng Plain, an experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of different subsoil tillage models on soil bulk density, crop yield and related components. The results showed that subsoil tillage reduced soil bulk density, improved root development and increased crop (sorghum) yield effectively. Subsoil tillage was an effective way to improve and utilize the compact soda-alkaline land with high soil bulk density. The treatment 1 (40 cm subsoil tillage in furrow and 30 cm subsoil tillage in mid-term cultivation) was maneuverable and greatly commended. The process of application was: 40 cm subsoil tillage in original furrow→ apply base fertilizer→ transform old ridge to new one→ 30 cm subsoil tillage in furrow in mid-term cultivation.
