With the purpose of solving the problem of water resources for people, animals and crop production in arid and semi-arid areas, the research was conducted to calculate the rainwater harvesting efficiency and engineering scale of catchment area in different precipitation regions, and analyze the structure design and cost of different types of water cellar. Moreover, the experiments were carried out to evaluate the economic benefits of different rainwater harvesting and water-saving irrigation modes under different precipitation conditions. The results may provide scientific guidance to develop rainwater harvesting technology and courtyard economy in arid and semi-arid areas in Gansu Province. |
