Abstract:
Considering the fact that most soil profile assumes layered structure in the field and soil secondary salinity area gradually increases in northwest China, the transport features of water and salt in layered soil under infiltration and evaporation are reviewed based on the research results at home and abroad, the achievement obtained and theirs interrelationship are clarified, and the problem existed is presented and discussed. The paper may provide some information for further studies on transport of water and solute in layered soil and for the design of irrigation and drainage scheme.
