Abstract:
he field experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of dry sowing wet germination(DSWG) wet sowing wet germination(WSWG) with drip irrigation under plastic mulch, and traditional flooding irrigation(TFI) on water use efficiency of cotton. The results showed: compared with traditional irrigation, drip irrigation under plastic mulch could reduce the height of cotton, lessen the number of cast bolls and centralize the root system. The yield of drip irrigation was 204.15 kg/hm2 higher than that traditional irrigation, the amount of water consumption was reduced by 32.91 mm,and the water use efficiency was increased by 0.73 kg/(mm·hm2).Even though the yield of dry sowing and wet germination was not the highest, its water consumption was decreased by more than 30% compared to the other two treatments, and its water use efficiency was the highest. So dry sowing wet germination was worthy to be popularized in this region.
