| Abstract: |
| Because of the fragile ecosystem environment and unreasonable exploitation,the farmlands in the edge of desert and oasis is often endangered by wind and sand,causing cotton damage in large scale.This article analyzes the types of damage and its producing mechanism.Seven prevention countermeasures are suggested: adopting wind barrier measures,practicing synthetical agricultural techniques,planting sandstorm-resistant crops,applying strip intercropping of cotton and wheat,establishing shelter forest system that combines woods and grass together,protecting oasis-desert interleaving zones,and enhancing farmland scientific management. |
