Abstract:
The experiment was conducted to study the effects of low limit of irrigation and fertilizer application rate on the yield and fruit quality indexes of tomato, including NO-3-N content, vitamin C content, soluble sugar content and sugar-acid ratio, under plastic mulching and drip irrigation in greenhouse. The results indicated that the fertilizer application rate and the soil water suction related to the lower limit of irrigation affected the yield of tomato and fruit quality significantly, and the interaction of these two factors reached 1% significant level. When the fertilizer application rate was N 337.5 kg/hm2 and K2O 337.5 kg/hm2,and the lower and upper limits of irrigation were 40 kPa and 6 kPa respectively, the yield of tomato was the highest and the fruit quality was preferable.
