Abstract:
An field experiment was carried out on cultivated loessial soil, study the effect of heavy straw mulching(6000 kg/hm2),light straw mulching(3000 kg/hm2) and no straw mulching on the soil evaporation of winter wheat. The results showed that daily variations of soil evaporation in winter wheat were more in the first ten days of October 2005,the last ten day of March and the middle ten days of June 2006 than other stages. The trend of daily variations and daily cumulative of soil evaporation were the same in all treatments. The most soil evaporation of non-mulching,heavy mulching and light mulching all appeared from grain-filling to maturity, and the least soil evaporation of all treatments appeared from over-winter to recovering. The inhibition efficiency of soil evaporation between mulched treatment and non-mulching from seeding to tillering was the highest, and that from over-winter to recovering was the lowest. The effect of inhibition efficiency of soil evaporation under heavy mulching was the best.
