Abstract:
Effects of different irrigation low limits of alternate partial root-zone drip irrigation under plastic film on some physiological indexes, yield and quality and water use efficiency of muskmelon were studied, taking conventional drip irrigation as comparison. The results showed: free water/binding water of the all treatments of alternate partial root-zone drip irrigation less than conventional drip irrigation, and contents of chlorophyll, soluble protein and malondialdehyde(MDA) is higher than conventional drip irrigation, the treatments with low limits of alternate partial root-zone drip irrigation of 85% and 75% field water capacity saved water by 30.33% and 34.98% respectively, and water use efficiency increased by 40.32% and 47.11% respectively, yield only decreased by 2.71% and 4.34%.
