Abstract:
Carboxymethyl chitosan at 0,0.5,1.0,2.0 and 4.0 mg/ml was sprayed on cucumber seedlings respectively, and then the cucumber seedlings were stressed under osmotic stress of 10% PEG for 3 days respectively,in order to study the influence of carboxymethyl chitosan on oxidative damage of cucumber seedlings under osmotic stress. The main results were as follows: The content of chlorophyll and proline were increased by treat with carboxymethyl chitosan under osmotic stress. The result also expresses that the activity of SOD,POD and CAT were enhanced too.In addtion, the content of MDA were reduced. It is concluded that carboxymethyl chitosan can effectively alleviate the oxidative damage of the osmotic stress to cucumber seedlings.
