Dynamic change of ecological footprint from1994 to 2003 in Tongchuan city and socio-ecomomic cause analysis

Abstract:
      In the case of Tongchuan city,this paper select seven indices such as per capita GDP、fixed assets investment、the third industry's weight、Engel's coefficient、per capita cultivated land area、urbalization ratio、per 10 thousands GDP's energy consumption to analyze the cause that affect per capita ecological footprint's change.The results showed that per capita ecological footprint increasing gradually,which increased from 0.9863 hm2 in 1994 to 1.3870 hm2 in 2003,but the percapita ecological capacity decreased from 0.4270 hm2 in 1994 to 0.3996 hm2 in 2003,the ecological environment in a unsustainable situation.Economic development level factor、resource utilization intensivism factor and consumption standard factor are the main cause of this change.
