Abstract: |
The study area——Zhandanzhao is located in the center of Dalate Baner in Inner Mongolia. Based on 3S techniques and combined with the ground review, the Land-sat TM images of 1987, 1995, 2000 and 2003 were interpreted, and the changes of sandland were analyzed by using the database of desertification dynamics from 1987 to 2003. RS and GIS softwares, such as erdas 8.6, Arcview 3.3 and Arcinfo 7.1 were used as interpretation tools. The results showed that: In the past nearly 20 years, the desertified lands were in the situation of reverse-develop-reverse. The amplitude contraction of semi-fixed dune increased, but the amplitude contraction of mobile dune reduced. On the patch number, the trend of desertified land patch number is growing. The number of mobile dune was in the situation of decrease-increase-decrease. The other desertified lands patch number is increasing in varying degrees. The developing of desertification is the result of natural and artificial factors. The quantitative description of the impact of the annual average temperature, annual average wind speed, annual average precipitation, population and the number of livestock on desertification was made in the paper. In all factors, population, livestock and annual average wind speed have the most obvious impact. |
