Abstract:
This paper studied the effect of water-retaining agents on flue-cured tobacco growth and the tobacco qualities by field trail. The result indicated that the application of the water-retaining agents restrained the tobacco grow during the prophase grow, but the restrain could alleviate with tobacco growing. Appling low content of water-retaining agents (15 kg/hm2) increased significantly the content of reducing sugar and K, while reduced greatly the content of starch, nicotine and chlorine, so improved the quality of tobacco. And the application of content of 15 kg/hm2 and 30 kg/hm2 treatment could improve significantly the yield, value, percentage of superior leaves, and so increased the economic benefit.
