Abstract:
Sophora alopecuroides are important ecological grasses of the ecosystem in North China and the raw material for drug industry. The study were mainly about eliminating hard seed, the methods of improving seed vigor index, and the optimal soil moisture and sowing depth of seed germination. The results showed that the reason for the low rate of germination was that seed crust was too intensive. The measure of improving germinating rate was to scrap seeds with abrasive paper or to treat them with H2SO4(65%) for 20 minutes. In addition, the method of boosting seed vigor was to treat seeds with H2SO4(65%) for 20 minutes, then with GA3 (0.02%). For the seeds of Sophora alopecuroides, the optimal soil moisture was 8%~12% and optimal sowing depth was 0~3 cm.
