Abstract:
The effect of irrigation plant density on the development, dry matter distribution and yield of transgenic insect-resistant cotton was studied with the method of controlling irrigation and different plant density under farm condition in the middle cotton belt of Shaanxi Province. The results showed that irrigation and density had two-way regulated effect on the development of cotton. The optimum composition of both measures was irrigation in 675 m3/hm2 and density in 4.5~7.5×104 plant/hm2.In this case, the yield was increased by 21.6%~23.6% over that of CK,and the irrigation efficiency got 2.49~3.19 kg/m3.
