Abstract:
Flax is the main oil and cash crop in arid and coo larea, which cannot be replaced by other crops. Therefore, it is important to enhance research on flax drought--resistance in its breeding. Comparative tests were done in both irrigated and non-irrigated fields, by using 11 traits of 15 varieties, in which pairing data were compared, differences were analyzed, and coefficient and index of drought-resistance were especially considered. It was indicated that there were great difference of flax traits under irrigated and non-irrigated conditions respectively. Only difference of seed numbers per berry wasn’t significant. Significance of difference of other traits, however, was very great. Taking nougat as the check and using 15 varieties as testing materials, drought-resistant capacity was studied with drought-resistant index method. The results showed that 10 of 13 varieties bred by our unit were “good” and 3 of them were “relatively good” and “medium” but 2 varieties bred under irrigated or moist conditions by other units were “medium” and “poor” separately. This paper told us it was necessary to do it this way so efficiency could be improved greatly.
