Abstract:
By applying Brilliant Blue FCF as dye tracer and bromide ion for breakthrough test, the infiltration property of sodic alkaline soil after 1 year and 5 years rice cultivation practice were studied. The results showed that the texture and structure of cultivation layer had significant changes after continuously rice-growing practice. Influenced by physical property of cultivated layer, the penetration depth and infiltration rate of soil solution increased significantly in contrast with control. Dye could infiltrate to 20 cm in 1-year rice plot and the whole cultivated layer after 5-year rice plot. The breakthrough experiment revealed that only 82% influent could penetrate the soil cores in 1-year paddy after 16 h, nevertheless, 95% after 8 h in cores of 5-year paddy, to reach balance with influent approximately.
