Abstract:
Subsurface drip irrigation scheduling of cucumber grown in solar green house was studied using a 20 cm diameter standard pan placed above the crop canopy. The results showed that irrigation water amount had significant effect on cucumber crop development cucumber fruits yield and fruit quality while irrigation interval and interaction of irrigation amount and irrigation interval had no significant effects. With the increasing of irrigation water amount the fruits yield and quality increased first and decreased afterwards. There was a parabola relationship between fruits yield and irrigation water amount and the relationship between fruits yield and crop water consumption was the same.To attain high yield good quality and high water use efficiency the optimum subsurface drip irrigation amount was 0.8Ep ( Ep was the 20cm standard pan evaporation) and irrigation interval was 8d for cucumber grown in solar greenhouse.
