Abstract:
      By using the data of precipitation and soil moisture in 30 years from 1971~2000 from 24 county meteorological stations in Weibei dry plateau of Shaanxi,quantitative analysis is made to find out the characteristics of soil moisture and rules of water supply and consumption in apple orchards of the area,to calculate the drought indexes and to divide the area into different regions according to the content of soil moisture.The results show that the soil moisture of apple-growing area in Weibei plateau has obvious regional characteristics and there are great differences in evaporation and surplus and deficit of soil moisture in different types of apple producing area.As for the evaporation,the order is the eastern part > northern part > western part > central part;and as for the rate of surplus and deficit of soil moisture,the order is eastern part > northern part > central part > western part.The soil moisture condition in the western part is the best,then the central part,while that in the northern part and eastern part is poor.
