Abstract: |
Based on the Griffing method I,various types of complete diallel-crossing was made under both irrigation and rain-fed condition.The hereditability of various types of the cross to their next generation and their relationship with drought resistance were analyzed by measuring the agronomic or physiological and biochemical traits as plant height,spikes and kennel weight per plant,kennel number,yellow leaves,SOD,POD,MDA,etc.The result showed that the following 7 traits as the kennel weight per plant,the panicle length,yellow-leaf number,the fullness of kennel,the yellow-maturing characteristic,spikes per plant and plant height appeared comparatively closer relationship with drought resistance and higher hereditability.These traits may be used as the indices for identifying their drought resistance in the early generation of the hybrids of high-yielding germplasms.SOD activity and the MDA content may be used in early generation hybrid selection because their general and special heritability were both higher,while OA and POD activity were higher in general heritability but lower in special heritability,thus suit for later generation hybrid selection. |
