| Evaluating the ecosystem service's value of an oasis could help study quantitatively the development and changes of the oasis' ecosystem.Based on the statistical data of Minqin Oasis in the lower reaches of Shiyang River from 1994 to 2007, this paper estimated the ecosystem service's value of the Minqin County.The result showed that the annual value of the ecosystem service in the lower reaches of Shiyang River was 102.04×108 Yuan in 1994, and 79.04×108 Yuan in 2007.During the 14 years, the value of the ecosystem service had been reduced by 23×108 Yuan in the area.The main reason for the dropping of the service value of the oasis' ecosystem is grassland reduction, so the important task of oasis ecological environment construction in arid areas is to protect oasis ecological environment, restore and enhance oasis ecosystem service function. |
