Abstract:
With the accelerating pace of global environmental degradation, regional eco-security issues have become increasingly prominent. As for the zone which has high temperature and drought in summer, the need of ecological secu-nity research is especially more and more pressing. Based on ecological footprint model improved by energy theory, a comprehensive assessment was made of the status of ecological security in 2002~2007 years of Jiangjin District in Chongqing city. The results showed that: (1) Ecological safety index of Jiangjin District was always in a relatively safe degree from 2002~2007, while the extent of security level was on the decline year by year, so it needs more attention from now on; (2) Ecological sustainability index of Jiangjin District has been in a strong non-sustainable degree since 2002, and the extent of the situation was gradually deepened.
