Abstract:
With 17 Rhizobia strains isolated from nodules of alfalfa and sweet clover as the research objects, RAPD detection and salt and alkali tolerance screening tests were conducted. The results showed that there were 6 different bac-terial systems in 17 Rhizobia. The experiment of salt and alkali tolerance showed that rhizobia of alfalfa in Linze had bet-ter stress tolerance ability than that in Tianshui. Two strains could grow well under pH 14, one strain could grow at medi-um containing 9% NaCl and two strains could tolerate 1.971 mol/L Na2SO4 on YMA medium. All these data showed GL007 strain had strong tolerance ability for salt and high pH. It was a precious strain resource of saline- alkali tolerance.
