Abstract: |
Soil salinization is one of primary environmental problems in the sustainable development in the down-
stream of Kaidu River Irrigation Areas in Xinjiang. Based on field survey,GPS location and soil analysis, soil saliniza-tion levels and distribution are investigated, and the characteristics of soil salinization in different spatial changes were analyzed. Using the analysis of correlat ion and regression to study the relations between the soil compositions, the results showed that the lands in the area are mostly of alkali soil with pH value greater than 8.0 and high in salt content, and salts content rate mostly in the 0~10 cm suuface layer, it accounts for 2. 83%0. Dominated cations in the soil are Na+,
K+ and Mg2+,whereas anions in the soil are SO42- and Cl- in the 0~10 cm soil layers. The correlation between Na+ and Cl-
content is positive and extremely significant, between K+ and HCO3- content significantly positive. All these findings further suggest that the soils are heavy chloride saline soils . The correlation between salt content and conductivity and TDS are positive significant . Regression analysis indicted: the level of soil salinization is indicted by the conductivity and TDS. |
