Abstract:
Effects of plant density on carbon and nitrogen metabolism, yield and quality of soybean cultivar Kennong 4 were investigated in field. The results showed that nitrogen, soluble protein, starch and cane sugar accumulation in-creased gradually with the increase of plant density, and there was significant difference among different density of soy-bean populations; With the increase of density, the proten content in soybean seed increased but fat content decreased; Through analyzing correlation at each stage, we known that there was a negative correlation among nitrogen, soluble pro-tein, starch and cane suqar accumulation and proten content, and a positive correlation with fat content; The pod num-ber,seed mumber and seed weight went higher when the density got smaller, and the yield of 3.6×105-plants-per-hm2 reached to the highest.
