Abstract:
In Shouguang of Shandong Province, the relationships between soil urease activity, catalase activity and the content of soil nutrients were studied by using both correlation analysis and path analysis. The results showed that the correlation between soil urease activity ,catalase activity and the content of organic matter, total N,available N, total P,available P and available K reached sigmificant or extremely significant positive level, the soil urease and catalase activity could be used as a comprehensive index of soil fertility. Total N,available N and available P had direct effect on soil urease activity, and they were the main factors affecting urease activity. Organic matter, total P and available K had effect on urease activity through indirect effects of the total N and available N. The effect of soil total N on soil catalase activity was mainly presented in direct responses, but the other soil nutrients mainly affected soil catalase activity by indi-rect action.
