Abstract:
Effects of NaCl and NaHCO3 on membrane permeability, SOD activity and POD activity of roots and leaves as well as specific charact eristics of the tolerance of oil-sunflower were studied under various levels of salt stress. The results showed as follows:Compared with CK, membrane permeability, SOD activity and POD activity of the root and leaves appeared an increasing trend and significant level with the increase of salt concentration. At the same time the SOD activity of leaves was significantly higher than that of roots. The effects of salt concentration on phenology was significant in oil-sunflower, and the growth period of oil-sunflower was delayed, while the plant height, faceplate diameters, dry weight and fresh weight of shoot and root and 100-grain weight declined significantly.
