Abstract: |
Using two transgenic lines G9-X1129 and G9-X1139 with TaEREB gene, receptor parent Xinchun No.9 and local contrast varieties Xiaoyan
22 as materials, we investigated their coleoptile length, radicle length and radicle number of wheat seedlings under drought stress simulated with PEG osmotic solution, and analyzed their physio biochemical, morphological and drought resistance index under different water treatments at field case. The results showed that compared with normal, their coleoptile length, radicle length and radicle numbers were reduced under drought stress simulated with 20% concentration of PEG-6000 osmotic solution, but the declining range of the receptor parent was greater than that of the transgenic lines; The soluble protein, proline content of G9-X1129 and G9-X1139 were observably higher than that of Xinchun No.9; With the increase of drought stress, the height, space of spike leaf, spike length of materials had different extent of decrease, but the declining range of the transgenic lines was lower than that of the receptor parent. The yield of G9-X1129 and G9-X1139 exceeded the receptor control by 11.67% and 10.19% respectively, and the drought resistance index was 1.18 and 1.17, which belongs to a strong drought-resistant level. It is suggested that the performance of drought resistance and water saving of the transgenic lines G9-X1129 and G9-X1139 were higher than Xinchun No.9, and the same as Xiaoyan 22. |
