Abstract: |
Using the monthly mean temperature and average precipitation of Jiuquan station, Gaotai station, Zhangye station, Shandan station, and Wuwei station in Hexi Corridor region, the Precipitation anomaly percentage, Relative humidity index and the Palmer Drought Severity Index were calculated respectively. Based on comparison of these 3 drought indicators, the climate change of Hexi Corridor region was analyzed and it was found that in the recent 58 years the features of the climate in Hexi Corridor region is “temperatures higher with a slight increase of precipitation”, and the climate changes had seasonal and regional differences, the difference was obvious especially in winter. The areas of Jiuquan and Gaotai had a relative serious drought. The areas of Zhangye, Shandan and Wuwei had a relative light drought. Autumn had a relative serious drought under the 4 seasons, which was not good for the agricultural harvest. |
