Abstract:
Using Zhonggan21 as the experimental material, an experiment was conducted to study the effects of different film mulching periods and modes on yield and water use efficiency of dryland spring cabbage in mountainous region. The results showed that autumn whole mulching on double ridges significantly improved soil water content in 0~100 cm during transplanting stage and in 0~60 cm during heading stage, and promoted the growth cabbage. The yield and water use efficiency of cabbage under autumn whole mulching on double ridges was 41 000.00 kg·hm-2 and 210.61 kg·mm-1·hm-2 respectively, which was significantly increased by 14.42%~89.23% and 20.67%~88.58% compared with autumn whole mulching, spring whole mulching on double ridges, spring whole mulching, autumn half mulching and spring half mulching. Therefore, autumn whole mulching on double ridges could improve the yield and water use efficiency of spring cabbage, and could be adopted as a major cultivation method of spring cabbage in dryland in mountainous region of Tianshui City.
