Abstract: |
The growth and physiological indicators of corn with different irrigation lower limits in seedling stage were investigated under alternate partial root-zone irrigation. The results showed that the plant height and stem diameter of T2 (65% of field capacity as irrigation lower limit) wer
e remarkably higher than those of other treatments. Compared with full irrigation (CK), the biological accumulation quantity of T2 increased by 1.2%, but that of other treatments decreased obviously. With the increasing of irrigation lower limit, the content of soluble sugar and proline in corn leaves and the relative water content of plant tissue were decreased continuously in seedling stage; the content of soluble sugar and proline under T2 was similar to that
under full irrigation (CK) and the difference between them was insignificant. |
