Abstract:
Based on Landsat TM data and GIS technology, through the information of land-use change and barycenter migration theory, the spatial evolution of land-use structure in the past 30 years in Guyuan County, Hebei Province has been analyzed. The results showed that agricultural land and gras sland were the principal types of land-use, and the land-use barycenters experienced a significant migration in the study area from 1980 to 2013. The barycenter of agricultural land has migrated toward northeast with the distance of 4 595.79 m; the barycenter of woodland has migrated toward southeast with the distance of 3 820.62 m; the barycenters of grassland and construction land have migrated toward northwest with the distance of 5 294.75 m and 1 220.91 m, respectively; the barycenter of water body has migrated little; and the barycenter of unused land has migrated toward southwest with the distance of 4 552.13 m. Policies and human activities are the main driving factors, while natural factors play a promoting role in the spatial variation of land-use.
