Abstract:
In order to study the crop water requirement on the basis of evapotranspiration, and provide data support for agriculture production, a refined SEBS based model with remote sensing date from FY3A/3B and FY/2E satellite and the meteorological date from automatic meteorological stations were used to monitor crop water requirement in Shanxi Province. The results indicated that outcomes from the model showed high consistency with the experimental data. It was shown that, maximal value (1.27 mm) of crop water requirement in Shanxi province during 2012 appeared in the spring of May. In addition, the maximal average values of crop water requirement in northeast and midwest of Shaanxi appeared in May, as 1.05mm and 1.38 mm, respectively. In southeast of Shanxi, the maximal value appeared in both May and July, as 1.28 mm and 1.23 mm, respectively. Thus crop water requirement in Shanxi province reached the most in spring. Particularly, midwest area demanded more, while northeast area needed less.
