Abstract:
This paper pointed at the reality of facing weak theoretical research on irrigation for artificial forage grass in high altitude region in Tibet, carried out the research on water requirements, water consumption and optimal irrigation schedule for oat crop, based on the field experiment, and simulation and prediction by the CROPWAT model, taken the Lhasa City as a typical research area. The results showed that: The crop water requirements in whole growth period for oat was 570 mm in the Lhasa Region. Under the different condition of water supply, the water consumption range was between 464 mm to 570 mm. The crucial irrigation time for oat was the tillering stage and early jointing stage. Through the simulation by the CROPWAT model, has determined 2 to 4 irrigation times was rather suitable, also the optimal non-full irrigation schedule was at pre-sowing, tillering stage and early jointing stage. The net irrigation quota was 37 mm, 43 mm and 30 mm, respectively. This research results has a certain of guidance significance for improving irrigation water use efficiency of oat in Lhasa Region and to realize water saving irrigation and high productivity.
